Symmetry on a grid

Grade 4 · Shapes and angles

A grid has a few squares coloured in. The student taps more squares to make the pattern symmetrical about the x-axis, the y-axis, or both.

Each coloured square needs a matching square the same distance from the line on the other side. Symmetry about both axes means up to four matching squares for each one.
