A shape of straight lines, or the paths in a park, is drawn on a grid of dots. The student decides whether it can be drawn without lifting the pencil or going over a line twice, taps the two corners where the drawing must start and finish, or traces it by tapping the corners in order.
The rule is to count the lines meeting at each corner. Each time the pencil passes through a corner it uses two lines, so a corner with an odd number must be a start or a finish. With 0 or 2 odd corners it can be done; with 4 or more it can't. The working numbers each corner and shows one way to draw it.
