Quadrilaterals are sorted into a two-way (Carroll) diagram by two properties, such as 'has 4 right angles' and 'has 4 equal sides'.
Each shape is a random size and turned to any angle, so a square can sit like a diamond. Some pairs of properties leave one box empty on purpose, because every rectangle, for example, has two pairs of parallel sides.
