Reading a protractor

Grade 4 · Shapes and angles

A protractor is shown with one or two arms drawn from its centre. With one arm, the question asks for the acute or the obtuse angle it makes; with two, the angle between them.

Only 0 and 180 are numbered, so the ticks in between have to be counted. The scale can run from either end, so reading from the wrong end is always a possible slip.
