Fraction word problems
Two-part word problems with fractions. In one, a birthday cake is shared and each child eats a fraction of it: what fraction was eaten, and how many kilograms are left? In the other, runners in a relay each cover a fraction of a lap: how many laps altogether, and how many metres?
Each story needs a fraction multiplied by a whole number, and then that result used again. The step-by-step working shows both parts.
