Find a fraction of a group of things: 2/3 of 12 apples means splitting the 12 into three equal groups and taking two of them. Most questions ask the student to colour the right number of pictures; others ask for the number, with the pictures to work from.
In about half the questions the pictures are already in dashed groups. In the rest they sit in one block, so the student has to find the groups themselves.
