Does the coin remember?

Grade 4 · Data, graphs and probability

A fair coin, a die or a spinner has come up the same way several times in a row. The student decides whether the chance of the same result next is more than, less than or exactly what it always was, which of two results is more likely next, or writes the chance of the next result as a fraction.

A coin or die has no memory, so a streak never changes the next go. What does matter is how it is made: on a spinner with 2 blue parts and 1 red, blue is more likely even after six reds. The working says what the chances are, then why the streak doesn't change them.
