Work and time problems

Grade 5 · Ratio, rates and percentages

If a number of workers can do some jobs in a certain time, how long would it take for a different number of jobs, or a different number of workers? For example, 25 artists draw 2 portraits in 5 hours: how long for 8 portraits?

The student works out the rate first, then scales it, watching whether more workers means more time or less.
